Friday, June 29, 2012Another Broadway musical is heading to a cruise ship!
Norwegian
Cruise Line late Thursday announced that the soon-to-debut Norwegian Breakaway
will feature the Tony Award-nominated Rock of Ages as well as a second show
that has appeared on Broadway, Burn the Floor.
The
classic rock-infused Rock of Ages, which inspired the movie of the same name
released earlier this month, will play in the Norwegian Breakaway's 800-seat
Breakaway Theater. Burn the Floor will appear in the same theater as well as in
another shipboard venue called The Manhattan Room. Rock of Ages has appeared on
Broadway since early 2009. Burn the Floor's Broadway run lasted from 2009 until
early 2010.
The
Norwegian Breakaway also will feature larger children's areas than previous
Norwegian ships and new cabin designs..
Currently
under construction at a shipyard in Germany, the Norwegian Breakaway was named
by a USA TODAY reader last year in a contest held here at the Cruise Log.
It's
scheduled to sail year-round from New York to Bermuda, the Bahamas, Florida and
the Caribbean.

Prague and the Czech Republic are featured in the June 25th
episode of the Bachelorette.
The Aria Hotel and the Golden Well Hotel provided the on-camera
accommodations for the cast of The Bachelorette during the seventh episode of
the season currently airing on ABC Television Network.
The episode will cover a unique group date as well as individual
dates around the City of Prague with the newest Bachelorette, Emily Maynard,
the first single mom to ever star on the series, who first captured America’s
heart on the 15th season of “The Bachelor.”
This episode will feature many of the breathtaking sights
that the City of Prague has to offer as well as a 12th century Medieval Castle.
It’s a wonderful city that I’d return to tomorrow!
