Canoe the Hocking River!

The Appalachia Ohio Alliance (AOA) is sponsoring a canoe trip on the Hocking River on Sunday, July 15th.  This trip is a fundraising event for AOA held in partnership with the Hocking Valley Canoe Livery - which will donate canoe rental proceeds back to the Alliance to help support riparian corridor protection.

Float a section of the beautiful Hocking River as it flows through the picturesque Hocking Hills and past properties protected by AOA held conservation agreements that help safeguard our water quality.  View the valley from the river and learn about the Hocking River conditions.

Canoes, paddles and life jackets are included in the trip fee of $20 per person.  Participants who want to use their own canoe or kayak are welcome.  Bring your own water or drink, picnic lunch, sunscreen, hat, and water shoes or old sneakers.  Stops on sandbars for short breaks to eat, wade and swim are planned.
